How to combine strength and cardio in the same week
Strength and cardio do not need to compete when the week has enough variation in intensity.
Decide what matters most
If strength is your main goal, place your most important lifting or bodyweight sessions where you are freshest. If endurance matters more, protect the cardio sessions that need your best effort.
Not all cardio needs to be hard
Walking, easy cycling and relaxed conditioning can add movement without creating the same fatigue as repeated hard intervals. This makes cardio easier to fit around strength days.
AniTrain keeps the same character moving with you as the training gets stronger, cleaner and more confident.
Separate demanding sessions when possible
Hard lower-body strength and hard running can both be tiring. Giving them space across the week often makes the quality of each session easier to maintain.
Adjust the plan using recovery
A schedule is a starting point, not a rule. If sleep, soreness or life stress is affecting training quality, reduce volume or intensity rather than forcing the original plan.
“Plan the week around hard and easy days instead of treating every session equally.”
